Festive Table Styling with Malmaison

For this Festive Season we have chosen a luxe colour palette of Pinks & Gold, with a pop of red, all set to a backdrop of neutral tones to create a timeless yet elegant look.

Using a range of French and French inspired pieces we have created an elegant festive look which is easy to achieve whilst also making it your very own.

Begin with a Neutral Base

Beginning with a beautiful cotton neutral toned French Country Tablecloth, we then began to layer with two French Consul Heritage Table Runner's and faux garland that runs the length of the table.

Our table is set to seat eight, however, it does extend to seat twelve. So if your table is longer, this look can easily be recreated for a larger table.

With our styling this year, we have chosen for the food to be served on a sideboard to allow our centrepiece to remain in place. The sideboard is also elegantly styled with our chosen colour palette, champagne chilled and France Etched Champagne Flutes ready to pop the cork and let the celebrations begin.

Layering creates interest

As the Heritage Table Runner is quite wide and generous in size, we decided to use this line to highlight the beautiful Ceramic Bee Plates rather than create an additional layer of using placemats.

Add your own personal touches to make the setting your very own. When styling we used used our own Gold Clip Butterfly's to add to the whimsical feel we were after.

'Be our guest' place setting

Set a place setting for every guest of honour! It's nice when designing your place settings to consider your guests and how they will appreciate the thought and care you have given to create a place just for them to enjoy making happy memories together. In the past, we have used personalised name cards, gifts or a unique flower or greenery just for them.

This year we have chosen not to personalise each place setting, but rather mix and match the Trevise Linen Napkins to see which colours guests are drawn to.

You will notice no placemats, but rather the use of the rustique Heritage Table Runner to highlight the individual place setting.

As this table setting is elegant yet casual, we have chosen to use La Rochere's Bee Glassware, Ceramic Dinnerware, and Laguiole Cutlery, however, if you wanted the look to be more refined you could use beautiful France Crystal Glassware, crisp white linen napkins and Grandma's silver and bone china.

Remember to add your own personal touches to make the setting your very own! When styling we used used our own Gold Clip Butterfly's to compliment our chosen colour palette and add to the whimsical feel we were after.

Create drama with an elegant centrepiece

With this Festive Tablescape, we have chosen a long centrepiece of a faux garland and berries dotted with tall candlesticks and smaller glass candle holders to create interest and drama along the entire length of the table.

We placed two Toulouse Classic Candleholders for height, and the simply stunning Ruffle Tea Light Candleholders to hold our Rose Pink and Gold French Taper Candles. The Ruffle Candleholders are absolutely perfect as they are dual purpose and can be used for both Taper Candles or Tealights. In addition, we have placed Troquet Cups & La Rochere Dishes for the dual purpose of tealights and Christmassy condiments. Simply magnifique!

Where possible, we love to use fresh greenery and flowers. For this setting we have used fresh Red & Pink Roses from the garden to decorate the sideboard and pedestal Franco Cake Stand displaying our very special Christmas Cake raising funds for the Cancer Council Victoria.
